Adult Comedy Class **Don't Be a Baby!**
Are you the “funny person at work”? Do all your friends tell you you should do stand-up? Well, now’s your chance to do something about it! Taught by Springfield native and nationally touring headliner Kenny DeForest, Stand-up Comedy for Adults is a five week course (1 night/wk, 2 hrs/class) that will teach you how to mine for material, write and perform jokes, and identify your unique perspective. This class will also expose you to different comedic styles and approaches by watching and discussing clips of the very best to do it and showing you ways to incorporate what you’ve learned into your own comedic journey. At the end of the course you will be performing real stand-up comedy on a real stage at a real comedy club in front of a real audience of your real family and friends hosted by me, real Kenny DeForest (I confess I’ve been writing this the whole time). Whether you’re interested in stand-up as a hobby, career, or just looking to increase your confidence in public speaking, this class is a great place to start. You are not guaranteed success, but you are guaranteed to know what success requires. I can also guarantee we’ll have some fun and have some laughs. Nothing wrong with that! Join us!
